Delete your Stork Money account
Account deletion is built into the app, and it is immediate and permanent. This page explains how to delete your account, exactly what gets erased, what we keep, and how to request deletion if you no longer have the app.
- ✓Delete your account anytime from inside the app — it takes effect immediately.
- ✓Your account and its data are permanently erased — we do not keep a soft-deleted copy.
- ✓Broker connections are read-only and are revoked as part of deletion.
- ✓No access to the app? Email [email protected] and we'll process your request.
Delete from inside the app
- Open Stork Money and go to the Profile tab.
- Tap Help & support.
- Under Account, tap Delete account.
- Confirm. Deletion runs immediately and you are signed out.
There is no waiting period and no "are you sure?" email — once you confirm in the app, the deletion is done. Signing in again later with the same Apple ID, Google account, or email creates a brand-new, empty account.
What gets deleted
Deleting your account erases the account and all data associated with it in a single operation:
- Your profile and sign-in link
- Connected brokerages — and our access to them is revoked
- Accounts, positions, and transaction history (including manual entries and cost basis)
- Portfolios and household sharing links
- Stork's briefs and your AI chat history
- Notification settings and device tokens
What we keep, and for how long
Deletion of your live account and data is immediate. Two narrow exceptions, the same ones described in our Privacy Policy:
- Backups — residual copies may persist briefly in encrypted, access-controlled backups before they roll off on a short cycle.
- Legal records — we retain the minimum records we are legally required to keep.
Broker connections are read-only — and revocable
Stork Money connects to brokerages through SnapTrade with read-only access: the app can see balances, positions, and activity, but it can never place trades or move money. You can disconnect any broker at any time from inside the app, or revoke access from your brokerage's own security settings. Deleting your account revokes all of Stork's broker access automatically.
Subscriptions
Stork Pro is billed by the app store, not by us, so deleting your account does not cancel an active subscription. On iPhone, cancel in Settings → your name → Subscriptions before or after deleting your account.
Can't access the app?
If you no longer have the app installed or can't sign in, email [email protected] from the email address linked to your account and ask us to delete it. We'll verify the request and process the same immediate, permanent deletion described above.
For full details on how we handle your data, see our Privacy Policy.
